POLICIES

Tee Time Reservations
Golfers have a 14 day advanced booking privilege. Tee times can be booked online through Tee-On or through our Pro Shop at 705-789-1000. When booking tee times, you are asked to provide the name of each player in the group, a phone number and a valid credit card number which secures your tee time reservation.

It’s strongly recommended that golfers arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their tee off time. Late arrivals forfeit their tee time and will be accommodated where possible.

Group booking cancellations (more than one tee time) must be in writing – info@huntsvilledowns.com

Respect on course signage and directions.

Driving Range
The Huntsville Downs Driving Range opens at the same time as our first tee time each day with the exception of Thursdays* – first tee times vary depending on the time of year. The closing time is determined by when the last golfer/golfers will be leaving the course according to that day’s tee time bookings.
The Driving Range closes at 6:00 pm (5:00pm September 1st onwards) on Wednesdays in order to pick it clean for cutting purposes. It is closed first thing on Thursday mornings to be cut and will open around 9:00am.

The closing time at The Huntsville Downs is contingent on when it gets dark, extreme weather or when the last group is off the course. If players are unlikely to finish the round prior to dark, then play and cart rentals are denied. We do however encourage all players to be off the course prior to darkness to prevent an accident or injury. Marshals, Starters and staff have the right to request golfers to speed up their play in order to complete their round before it gets dark.

Lightning safety
Be sure to follow these suggestions to keep yourself safe during the golfing season.
If lightning strikes, get off the course IMMEDIATELY
If you are far from shelter, find a dense wooden area. Take appropriate shelter when you can count 30 seconds or less between lightning and thunder. Remain sheltered for 30 minutes after you hear the last roll of thunder. Avoid being the highest point in an open area. Swinging a club or holding an umbrella can make you the tallest object and a target for a lightning strike.
